An important facet of our Center Outreach Program is our seminar series. Since it's inception in 2002 the CCD has maintained an active, monthly seminar schedule. Our visitors have come from all across the US, Canada, and from as far away as Germany! Guests are treated to a 2-day intensive visit during which time they are invited to give a seminar about their work and to talk with the research staff here at the Center. These visits have been instrumental for establishing collaborations and for the showcasing the scientific and state-of-the-art laboratory resources available for use here at the CCD. Truth-be-told, San Juan Island is a pleasant place to visit at any time of the year and with the promise of a vigorous intellectual shake-down amidst the natural beauty and tranquility of the Pacific Northwest our seminar slots are reserved well into the future.
